Admission Criteria | Any graduate with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education having 50% (45% for SC/ST) aggregate marks (all subjects in all years put together) at graduation can apply. Those who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before June 07, 2004 can also apply. IRMA encourages employees of co-operatives, NGOs/voluntary agencies, government rural development agencies and apex rural development funding organisations to apply with sponsorship from their employers. Sponsored candidates should hold a graduate degree in any discipline. Flexibility of doing the PRM in two stages has been introduced as a special incentive for sponsored candidates. All eligible candidates, including sponsored candidates, will have to appear for a written test comprising four sections: English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Reasoning and analytical skills and Issues of Social Concern. The test will be conducted on Sunday, December 07, 2003 at 26 test centres. These test centres are: Amritsar, Anand, Bangalore, Bhopal, Calicut, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Cuttack, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pantnagar, Patna, Raipur, Rajkot, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur, Varanasi, and Vishakhapatnam. Candidates selected on the basis of the written test will be invited for personal interviews with the Institute's faculty at Anand. About eighty candidates are expected to join the programme. |

Scholarships | IRMA awards AMUL-TATA Fellowships of Rs. 1,00,000/- each to those students who undertake to work in IRMA's designated development or co-operative organisations for a minimum of three years after completing PRM. Of the Fellowship amount Rs 50,000/- is payable during the programme and the remaining amount of Rs 50,000 plus interest accrued on the completion of three years of working. |
Other Information | The total fees for the course tentatively amounts to Rs. 145,500/-. In addition each student is expected to possess a PC costing about Rs. 25,000/-. |
