Courses offered | Post Graduate Programme in Forestry Management (2005-2007, 18th batch) As part of the programme, students spend almost one year (half of the total course duration) working in the field in different parts of the country. Field work is undertaken after two terms and helps to sensitize students to the practical aspects of forestry, wildlife and rural dynamics. Groups of four to five students are attached to forest divisions in different parts of the country for a period of 10 weeks. |

Admission Criteria | Bachelors Degree or equivalent as recognised by AIU / AICTE. Candidates appearing for their final graduation exams are also eligible to apply provided they complete it by June 30, 2005.
The entrance to the programme is through a three stage selection process. The first stage involves appearing for the CAT examination conducted by the IIM's to be held on November 21, 2004. Students shortlisted through the CAT examination are called for group discussion and interview at IIFM. |

Deadline | The last date for submitting CAT applicaiton is September 10, 2004. Completed forms should reach IIFM Bhopal on or before November 30, 2004 |
Scholarships | IIFM offers a monthly scholarship of Rs. 1500/- Indian Rupees to all students(except NRI sponsored) that it selects for the PFM programme. There are no bonds attached to this grant. |

The fee for Foreign Nationals/NRI/NRI Sponsored is US$ 8000 (US Dollar eight thousand) for entire duration of the programme to cover tuition fee, computer fee, teaching material, students welfare fund, examination fee, establishment fee, OT fee, library, alumni association, hostel rent etc. through a demand draft in US dollars made in favour of the Director, Indian Institute of Forest Management, payable at Bhopal.
During the last ten years, IIFM students have done projects in diverse areas of management application like human resource development, project formulation, MIS, GIS, marketing, system analysis and design, inventory management, plantation management, NGO action plans, eco-development plans, joint forest management, agro-forestry, development communication, feasibility studies and environmental impact assessment. |
