Activities of the VASCSC	The Centers’ Programmes include: Development of new educational material with an emphasis on the process and the content of science and creativity rather than immediate applicability. Focus areas are Primary Science & Mathematics, Environment Studies & Integrated Science Programme. Trial / adoption by the educational system. Non formal methods of learning are applied through Science Learning Through Inquiry & Mathematics Laboratory. Teacher Orientation Programmes with in-service orientation and refresher courses for teachers Design and Development of low cost Teaching / Learning Aids Community Programmes including Design & display of exhibitions, science film shows and popular lectures, Resources of library, laboratories, hobby corner, workshop and an AV studio facility. The Centre's staff are available for consultation on various aspects of science education. Mass Media and AV Development including a vast library of slide shows and over a hundred low-cost publications on science and mathematical topics. Rural Programme with a focus on conducting various science based programmes, mathematics workshops and exhibit making workshops as well as Science Melas in the rural sector.
