For 6-month certificate course in Geriartic Care: At least matriculation examination from a recognised institution with Age not less than 18 years as on May 31, 2004. For Post Graduate Diploma in Integrated Geriatric Care: Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or institute with age not less than 20 years as on May 31, 2004. Preference will be given to candidates having a degree in sociology, social work anthropology, psychology, nursing, medicine, home science or equivalent; having an experience of working in age care organisations; or/and holding a certificate in the field of age care. Selection will be made through a Common Aptitude Test (CAT) to be held at different centres in September 2004 followed by a group discussion and a personal interview. |

| Other Information | There is no course fee. There are 30 seats for the certificate course in each center at Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Agartala and 20 seats in one year Diploma course at New Delhi. The meritorios students may get a stipend of Rs. 600/- per month. THe course is purely non-residential. |

u hav mentioned the course of 6 months diploma in geriatric care. but it was dated on the year 2004. i am a psychiatric social worker and i would like to join the course now. and so what can i do for that? can u please inform me to either my email or mob: 09446200047?

Sir,
I am a traind social worker from Calcutta Metropoliton Institute of Gerontology. I completed the One Year Post Graduate Diploma Course on Gerontology and Age Management in the year 2009-2010.
Please advice or help me that how can I get a speceful job on the basis this subject.
Next my question is, what is the future of gerontology in India and what is the future plan and responsibility in our Indian Govt.for old age population

sir I have seen the information I would like to join the course. I have completed my MD (HMM) also B.A.(sociology and anthropology) with Distinction from Pune University.
